For Texas LPC-Associates looking to complete licensing hours, finding a Supervisor that fits your personality and needs can be challenging. Supervision can be excellent and life-changing or flat out disappointing. Choosing a Supervisor needs to be done with intent and care.
At The Mental Well, PLLC, you will receive a wide range of skills from a wide range of experience and knowledge. You will also receive training a step above other supervisory providers. From the science of the clinical to the art of therapy, you will receive a deep dive of experiences into the craft, the business, public speaking, marketing, and leadership of LPC work.
What to expect
- Individual weekly sessions (Virtual)
- Group Supervision may be available at no more than 50% of the time.
- Weekly direction and exploration in counseling theory, psychotherapy techniques, laws & ethics, diagnosis, assessments
- Review your "Golden Chain" (progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, safety plans, discharge plans, etc. ~if available) for documentation, build a vocabulary for the application of technique, and monitor ethical compliance.
- Supervisees will be provided our Golden Chain - Golden Threads clinical guide to easily track your cases and maintain legal/confidential compliance, ethical practices, and best practices.
- Review of audio/video recordings or in-vivo observations for greater insight into practice.

Dyadic 60-minute session $75
Triadic 60-minute session $60
Group 60-minute session $50 (as available, no more than 2 per month)
Who we are looking for
- Someone who holds the "Temporary License" of an LPC-Associate (as set forth by Texas LPC Rules - link provided below)
- Caring, ethical, and moral associates who are ready to dive in deep and learn more about their craft.
- Culturally competent (or open to learning more about cultural competence) associates.
- Dedicated, punctual, willing, and determined individuals.
- Open to direction and building confidence to make the craft their own.
- Someone who understands the business of supervisor-supervisee relationship, as it can be canceled for any reason by either party at any time if it is not working out
- Internal with The Mental Well or external with another agency.
- Will obtain liability insurance and follow all ethical/legal guidelines
- Wants the best for their clients/patients
